The matter holds key details such as the responsible attorney, practice area, access permissions, and billing arrangement. If you also use Grow, you can first collect intake information and convert the matter into Manage once the prospect becomes a client.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong><span data-color=\"transparent\">Organize the work inside that matter. <\/span><\/strong><span data-color=\"transparent\">A case record will hold crucial documents, notes, tasks, calendar events, and communications. You can review everything at a glance, and it\u2019s easy to stay on top of new information by following the dedicated tabs from the left-side menu (e.g., Billing, Documents, Communications).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong><span data-color=\"transparent\">Record time and expenses against the matter. <\/span><\/strong><span data-color=\"transparent\">You can start the timer anytime by pressing the corresponding button in the top-right corner. Once you\u2019re done, you simply assign it to a matter and mark it as billable or non-billable.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong><span data-color=\"transparent\">Turn the recorded work into a bill. <\/span><\/strong><span data-color=\"transparent\">From the Billing menu, select \u201cNew Bill,\u201d tick the recorded billable entries assigned to that contact, and click \u201cGenerate\u201d to create a new invoice. From the Matters menu, you can also use the \u201cQuick bill\u201d function to quickly generate a bill from all billable items tied to a specific matter.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong><span data-color=\"transparent\">Follow payments, balances, and firm performance. <\/span><\/strong><span data-color=\"transparent\">Once you\u2019ve approved and sent an invoice, you can check a matter\u2019s financial overview from its corresponding dashboard.
