Slack is a modern team messaging application which allows to create and run conversations in both public and private channel, as well as connect via direct messages. This integration allows to track time spent on channels for the whole team. Slack time tracking has never been easier.

Note: to enable the integration you’ll need administrator’s privileges. To start the integration login to your TimeCamp account go to the Settings (1). Navigate to the Integrations bookmark (2).

Find Slack on the list of available addons and click on “Enable” button.

Click on the “Add to Slack” button.

You’ll be redirected to Slack page and asked to grant TimeCamp authorization to access data from your account.
You can decide about channel in which you’ll get TimeCamp notifications (1).
To continue, click on the green “Authorize” button (2).

You’ll be redirected back to TimeCamp. All your channels will automatically be imported as tasks for you to track time on.

You can track time directly in Slack. The available commands are:

/timecamp start [note] Starts the timer with an optional note.
Example: /timecamp start My pretty note…
Response: Timer started at 13:34
/timecamp stop [note] Stops the timer. Preserves start timer note.
Example: /timecamp stop …ends like this!
Response: Timer stopped. It was running for 3s.
Response: Timer is not running. Do you want to start it? Use /timecamp start.
/timecamp status [date] Displays timer status and total time tracked today.
Optional date accepts today, yesterday, X days ago, Wednesday, Tuesday, etc. or date in YYYY-MM-DD format.
Example: /timecamp status yesterday
Response: Timer is running for timecamp-integration – time elapsed: 12s
On 2016-03-21 you have a total of 1h 33m tracked.
/timecamp add [duration] [note] Adds time entry. Provide duration in HH:MM format.
Example: /timecamp add 1:15 It’s really awesome!
