Effective time management not only helps to achieve goals, but it also provides less stress in everyday life. Below there are a few ways to achieve balance between work and private life. If you have a big problem to solve, it is always better to ask someone smart. So why don’t we ask the greatest mind of the 20th century Mr. Albert Einstein?

Are you overwhelmed with the amount and the degree of complex tasks to do? Do you have an impression that time flows too fast sometimes? You don’t have an opportunity to solve all of your problems until the deadline? Or maybe you have too many new tasks that come and disturb more important work? The answer is there and it is named: managing time.

Quoting Albert Einstein: “Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”. So what can we do differently?

Firstly: start with a good plan

Planning each day you can not only achieve your goals, but also you gain control of your life. You can arrange your tasks on “to do” list– this is the simplest idea to start. Einstein said: “God doesn’t play dice” – so he has a plan

Secondly: determine priorities

When you establish your priorities you can be sure that you your time will be allocated properly. When some student asks Nobel Prize winner: “Dr. Einstein, how many feet are there in a mile?”, Einstein replied “I don’t know… I make it a rule not to clutter my mind with simple information that I can find in a book in five minutes.” I think almost everyone knows a Vilfred Pareto principle which describes that 20% of efforts generates 80% of the effects.

Thirdly: manage time because time is priceless

Time unlike other things can’t be retrieved, so don’t waste your time on unnecessary tasks. It appears that a person doesn’t have to work longer hours, he or she only needs to manage time better. Einstein said: “I do not play games…. There is not time for it. When I get through with work, I don’t want anything that requires the working of the mind.”

Fourthly: trust is everything

Even the best methods for time management can’t help if all tasks will be done by one person. Now there are many opportunities to delegate work and there are people who can help. Better to trust someone and just delegate work. But you have to remember that: “Anyone who doesn’t take truth seriously in small matters cannot be trusted in large ones either.”

Fifthly: let’s do it

Quoting Albert Einstein: “Work is the only thing that gives substance to life.”

Don’t worry about work to do. Remember that tasks look like difficult sometimes, but only until we start working. You can always divide big task on smaller cases.

What are your methods to manage time? Can you add your ideas to this list?
