Overall, Jibble reviews are overwhelmingly positive. On-site and field teams appreciate it most because they need to know who clocked in, when, and where. This free time tracking software currently holds 4.6/5 on G2 from 692 reviews and 4.8/5 on Capterra (3,118 reviews).

Key takeaways about Jibble in 2026

  • The most common compliment is ease of use. 167 mentions on G2 and a 4.8 ease of use score on Capterra.

  • Users love Jibble’s free plan. It includes unlimited users, plus GPS tracking, face recognition, and kiosk mode, but it caps you at 2 locations, 1 work schedule, 1 admin, and 1 kiosk.

  • Complaints are also consistent. Location and face checks stall in weak signal or poor light, and reports are rigid.

  • Plan prices went up in 2026. Plan pricing isn’t public, and users reported significant price hikes across all plans throughout this year.

  • Useful extras (e.g., group management) are locked behind paid plans. You can, however, test all features during the 14-day trial.

If you’re looking for a free tool to mark attendance, Jibble is hard to beat as a free time clock for frontline crews. For teams that need to bill clients by the project and track profitability, a project-first time tracker like TimeCamp will suit you better.

Some older Jibble reviews call the modern platform “Jibble 2.” Don’t get confused; they’re talking about the same thing! The app was rebuilt in 2021, and the original version is known as “Jibble 1.”

How do we review software in TimeCamp?

A human is behind every word posted here. We value our users’ time and trust, so you can be sure our team (Ola, Wojtek, Kasia, Iza, Robert, and others) spent real hours testing the apps, and then researching, briefing, and writing this article.

However, our editorial team has 10+ years of experience writing SaaS content, including testing and using a variety of tools daily. Our writers are also app users, so we write our recommendations based on what we would read as potential clients. Our main rule is “do not cover without a source.”We also revisit and update our articles to cover notable changes to the app’s features or pricing (at least quarterly).

Jibble’s scores are high across the board and remarkably uniform. The weakest sub-scores are support and functionality, which lines up neatly with what reviewers complain about.

*Capterra, Software Advice, and GetApp run on one shared review pool, so unlike Jibble, which claims over 20,000 verified user reviews (the actual number is probably half of that), I won’t include duplicates here. I spotted the same reviewers, word for word, on Capterra and Software Advice.

How did I analyze Jibble reviews?

I read and analyzed over 1,000 Jibble reviews published between May 2024 and October 19, 2026. That’s at least 400 on G2, 400 on Capterra/Software Advice, 100 on the App Store, and another 100 on Google Play. I read across the full 1-to-5-star range, with filters set to recent first. I [Alex Melidioniotis] handpicked each quote from reviews that were live on the sites mentioned above as of October 2026.

Incentivized and AI-generated reviews offer little value, so I needed a reliable way to exclude them. Here’s what I did:

  • When counting themes, I focused on recurring compliments or complaints. I filtered out many 5-star reviews that seemed suspicious (i.e., too perfect).

  • Why? Most 5-star reviews came through a seller invite and were labeled “Vendor Referred” or “Incentive Offered.” One review even ends with “Let me know if you’d like it even shorter, more formal, or tailored for a specific use.” No, thanks, ChatGPT.

  • I focused on the text, rather than the scores themselves. The most honest complaints are buried deep inside real 5-star reviews (e.g., issues with face recognition), and conversely, the most honest compliments (e.g., quick setup) hide within 2- and 3-star reviews.

  • Every quote I list below was in the original pool I created. I include the reviewer’s name as shown on the platform, the platform itself, the date, and the rating.

  • I cross-checked my notes against G2’s pros-and-cons tallies and Capterra’s topic sentiment. Each covers hundreds of reviews, so my findings needed to match.

In October 2026, I set up my own Pro plan on the 14-day trial. I used the platform as a manager or business owner would, testing out its main features (e.g., GPS clock-ins, kiosk mode, automatic clock-outs) and taking notes along the way. More importantly, I went looking for the issues reviewers raise most: GPS lag, logouts, and limited report customization.

Throughout this piece, I zero in on the areas where the general consensus and my own observations meet.

What do users like about Jibble?

They mention many things, but the key features that seem to drive scores upward are Jibble’s ease of use and simplified payroll. Here they are, in the order they came up most often.

Ease of use and a fast setup process

Ease of use is by far the most common compliment. On G2, 167 reviews mention it, and another 66 users praise the platform’s intuitive user interface. G2 users rate both Ease of Use and Ease of Setup at 9.4/10. On Capterra, users give Jibble a 4.8/5 for Ease of Use.

Setup took minutes, everyone got the hang of it the same day.

Sandeep J., Founder, Marketing and Advertising, Capterra, September 27, 2026, 5/5

It’s great for those not used to technology and doesn’t require much training.

Brian P., Accountant, Small-Business, G2, August 30, 2026, 5/5

The setup process is as straightforward as it gets. It took me about 30 minutes to invite a few employees and start tracking time, and the learning curve is flat for them, too. They just press one button to clock in, one to clock out, and there’s a third one for breaks.

jibble's main dashboard

Onboarding takes 5 minutes, and you can start tracking in 30 (Author’s screenshot, October 2026).

Automated timesheets that make payroll easier

Users appreciate how easily Jibble turns clock-ins into timesheets with overtime calculations and break tracking built in. It splits regular and overtime hours and lets managers export payroll data as XLS or CSV with a single click.

If you want to ditch paper timesheets and avoid manual data entry, Jibble helps prepare payroll hours, even on the free plan.

It eliminated manual punch-in errors and significantly reduced the time spent preparing payroll.

Ashu T., Information Technology and Services, Software Advice, September 2026, 5/5

I’m trying out Jibble to eliminate paper timecards for our company.

Marissa W., Manager, Small-Business, G2, June 30, 2026, 4/5

You can export your timesheets from the Timesheets menu (Author’s screenshot, October 2026).

A free plan that’s genuinely usable

This one genuinely surprised me, and I’ve tested quite a few tools over the years. Plenty of tools offer a free version, but Jibble offers enough to actually run a (small) business on. Free forever for unlimited users sounds too good to be true, but it checks out.

As a free user, you’ll also get access to GPS-stamped clock-ins, face recognition, geofenced automatic clock-in and clock-out, overtime rules, and exports. Integrations with QuickBooks Online, Xero, Deel, Slack, and Microsoft Teams don’t cost extra either.

…a free app with no limit to the amount of users…

Verified User in Religious Institutions, Mid-Market, G2, August 19, 2026, 5/5

Super easy to use, and the free version let me manage all 30 cadets.

Landen C., Education Management, Software Advice, September 2026, 5/5

What’s the catch, you say? Well, you’re limited to two locations, one admin, one kiosk device, and a single work schedule on the free plan. Larger organizations with multiple work schedules will have to upgrade relatively quickly.

If you opt to trial the Pro plan as I did, you’ll have access to all of Jibble’s features for the full two weeks.

GPS, geofencing, and face recognition keep clock-ins honest

Users view Jibble’s location tracking as an accountability tool. GPS time tracking stamps a location on every clock-in and clock-out, and geofences block clock-ins away from the job site. It also uses facial recognition to confirm employee identity, eliminating buddy punching (i.e., one employee clocking in for another).

The facial recognition and GPS geofencing work very well to prevent proxy punch-ins…

Rakesh S., Proprietor, Machinery, Capterra, September 26, 2026, 5/5

The geo-fencing feature in the free mode is amazing and makes it foolproof…

Mohammed T., Head Administrator, Small-Business, G2, April 15, 2025, 5/5

Clock in from wherever your team works

Reviewers like that Jibble lets team members track time from various devices, including the web app, the mobile app, a desktop app, a Chrome extension, or a shared time clock kiosk. Remote teams also appreciate how effortless it is to clock in from Slack or Microsoft Teams without even opening Jibble.

I tried tracking time via the Android app, and it was super responsive. I can also confirm that it’s incredibly easy to turn any mobile device into a clock-in station with a quick setup.

I really like the different platforms available for clocking in.

Kelley C., Administrator, Small-Business, G2, July 10, 2026, 5/5

…Slack and Microsoft Teams so people can clock in without leaving their work chats.

Support that usually answers fast

Customer support gets warm reviews. As of October 2026, it sits at 4.6/5 on Capterra and 9.0/10 on G2. Although you have to go through an AI app assistant to reach a human representative, the process is pretty fast. Jibble says it replies to chats within an hour, but when I asked a question about pricing, I heard back in about 5 minutes.

Customer support has been consistently prompt without noticeable delays…

Abhishek T., Software Developer, Capterra, September 28, 2026, 5/5

The support team is very responsive, helpful, and easy to work with whenever I have a question or need help.

Nel B., CSR, Mid-Market, G2, September 28, 2026, 4.5/5

As a free user, you’ll have to rely on email plus the help center’s guides and video tutorials. Live chat starts on Essential (the cheapest paid plan), and Pro adds a dedicated success manager.

What do users complain about in Jibble?

The same few complaints repeat across reviews and platforms. The good news is most show up in 4- and 5-star reviews, so they’re not dealbreakers but still worth taking seriously.

Weak signal and poor light affect GPS and face checks

This one shows up again and again. Face recognition doesn’t always work on the first try, and location tracking can lag. Capterra’s topic analysis rates 54% of the 179 reviews about syncing and connectivity as negative.

Sometimes location verification can take longer than expected.

abhishek b., CEO, Small-Business, G2, September 28, 2026, 5/5

…a lot of times it takes 5 to 6 tries…

Shane D., Site Manager, Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing, Capterra, October 2, 2026, 4/5

…ultimately we stopped using it because it kept mistaking people for one particular employee.

Aaron S., Executive Producer, Small-Business, G2, February 4, 2025, 3.5/5

Another quirk users mention is the fact that geofenced auto clock-in needs a radius of at least 300 meters to work. That’s a lot, and it’s wide enough to clock someone in for a minute as they drive past.

GPS worked fine on all the devices I checked. That said, when clocking in in low light, Jibble sometimes took two or three tries to recognize my face.

Sync delays and the occasional forced logout

This is another complaint that shows up time and time again. Some reviewers claim that clock-ins take a few seconds to reach the dashboard. Others report sessions that end unexpectedly or bulk actions that time out.

Occasionally, the Chrome extension may require a page refresh or re-login after browser updates…

Rizza O., Accountant, G2, July 3, 2026, 5/5

While locking timesheets in bulk, I sometimes receive a “Network Error.”

Aritram D., Global Talent Operations, Information Technology and Services, Capterra, September 16, 2026, 4/5

…the desktop application occasionally crashes after updates.

Sreejan G., Founder, G2, June 22, 2026, 5/5

I didn’t experience any of that myself, presumably because my team was small. I didn’t perform any bulk actions, so that might have contributed, too.

Fixing a timesheet mistake takes more clicks than it should

This is a major friction point, and I experienced it firsthand. I accidentally let my break time run over, and I couldn’t figure out how to convert the extra time into regular billable minutes. Eventually, I had to delete the entire break entry and fix everything manually.

Having to confirm and explain every adjustment can feel a bit unnecessary…

Maria de los Angeles P., Project Manager, Capterra, October 13, 2026, 4/5

The guys don’t quite understand how to correct clock in/out mistakes on their own.

Verified User in Automotive, Small-Business, G2, September 15, 2026, 5/5

The tools are there, but they can be challenging to navigate once an error occurs. Employees often make mistakes, and managers struggle to fix them. Automatic clock-out is an option, but it doesn’t always fire. Capterra’s topic analysis rates 46% of the 127 reviews about adjusting entries as negative.

Fewer entries to fix

TimeCamp tracks time automatically in the desktop app and uses keyword rules to assign activity to the right project, so there is less to correct by hand.

Notifications and alerts are a bit rigid

Jibble covers the basics (e.g., clock-in/out reminders and compliance alerts), but reviewers want finer control over who gets notified and when.

I spent some time trying to set up alerts for missed clock-outs, but I couldn’t get it to work. There’s also no way to quickly track clock-ins away from the job site or unapproved overtime.

Notification and reminder settings are somewhat limited.

Majid D., Administrator, Health, Wellness and Fitness, Capterra, September 16, 2026, 5/5

a snapshot of the reminders & alerts setup

There’s very little in the way of alert customization (Author’s screenshot, October 2026).

Reports are clear, but customizing them usually means Excel

Limited customizations extend to reports (flagged in 13 reviews on G2). The tracked time report is available on all plans (including free), and the dashboard showing tracked hours is clear enough.

There are quite a few filters you can apply, but there’s no parallel view, and switching between different dashboard views (e.g., by group, date, client, project) is cumbersome. Most managers end up exporting the data to Excel, and I did the same thing.

Creating multi-tiered summary reports […] often requires exporting raw CSVs into Excel for post-processing.

Verified User in Information Technology and Services, Small-Business, G2, September 17, 2026, 4/5

…filters could be more flexible, especially when I’m trying to export customised departmental summaries.

Anmolpreet K., Sales, G2, September 25, 2026, 4.5/5

view of the general tracked time report

The main Reports view looks nice, but it’s not as customizable as I would like (Author’s screenshot, October 2026).

If you need data on the go, you can download reports via the Android/iOS app, but the mobile dashboard itself is pretty rigid.

The mobile app dashboard feels limited compared to the web version…

Mahak M., HR/PR Team Core Member, Small-Business, G2, September 24, 2026, 4/5

Advanced rules take trial and error

As we’ve already established, basic setup is quick. But what if you need to set up overtime rules, night differentials, and time-off policies? It took me more than an hour to implement specific overtime and break rules for a single test employee.

There’s a learning curve to setting up time tracking policies by group without breaking things. This isn’t necessarily a Jibble-specific issue, since highly specific rules can quickly complicate processes. Note that group-level time tracking policies start on Essential.

…overnight shifts […] and overtime rules, can be confusing when first setting up the system.

Verified Reviewer, Civil Engineering, 11-50 employees, Software Advice, August 2026, 4/5

…difficult for afternoon/night shift work and I have to keep setting up new rules…

Ashley F., Financial Controller, Small-Business, G2, September 20, 2026, 2/5

Useful extras sit behind paid plans

No surprise here. Small teams can make the most of the free plan, but reviewers hit the paid plan wall in predictable places: timesheet approvals, team groups, required project or activity tags, and the time-based automatic clock-out, all of which require the Essential plan.

Employees can’t request time off or see their balances below Growth, and live location is Pro-only. It doesn’t help that prices went up in March 2026. Jibble doesn’t list them publicly, but I reached out to support to find out exactly what happened.

The then-entry-level plan (now called Growth) jumped from $2.49 to $4.49 per user per month on annual billing (roughly 80% more), and the top plan (now called Pro) from $4.99 to $7.99 (about 60% more). The new entry-level Essential plan ($1.99) sits below them. Needless to say, users like the ones below were not happy.

Some of the more advanced reports and features sit behind paid plans…

Joel D., Sr Analyst, Computer Software, Capterra, September 29, 2026, 5/5

The per-user subscription cost adds up quickly once you have a growing on-site workforce…

Rakesh S., Proprietor, Capterra, September 26, 2026, 5/5

The client invoicing tool (currently in beta on Pro only) can pull tracked hours via an “import time” button, but Jibble’s project management depth stops there. It lacks native task assignment and visual project planning tools (e.g., Kanban boards and Gantt charts) to actually manage workflows rather than just track time.

Integration with certain project management tools also seemed limited, which reduced overall workflow efficiency.

Gagandeep S., Accounting, Software Advice, September 2026, 5/5

highlight of the import billable time feature and an example invoice

The invoicing tool works well, but it’s only available on the Pro plan (Author’s screenshot, October 2026).

Need more than attendance?

TimeCamp ties tracked hours to projects and clients, and its free plan covers unlimited users.

Who is Jibble a good fit for?

If the main goal is to track work hours and prove who worked, when, and where, Jibble is worth considering.

Profile

What they use it for

Why it fits

Hourly and on-site teams (construction, F&B, retail, field services, healthcare, security)

Clock-in, attendance management, and stopping buddy punching

GPS, geofencing, face recognition, and a kiosk, all on the free plan

Small businesses and freelancers

Free time and attendance

Free forever for unlimited users; 83% of Capterra’s reviewers are small businesses

Deskless and frontline rollouts

Mobile and kiosk clock-in at scale

Several clock-in methods, quick setup, and an app listed in 17 languages

Remote and field teams on Slack or Microsoft Teams

Clocking in without leaving chat

Slack and Teams clock-in, plus offline sync

Note that Jibble doesn’t cover the wider HR stack. According to Jibble, that’s a deliberate choice:

We took the view that we’re going to do one thing REALLY well instead of several HR things fairly well.

It won’t work as an all-in-one time tracking and management platform, so keep that in mind.

Where do reviewers suggest looking elsewhere?

A few profiles aren’t quite right for Jibble. After going through hundreds of user reviews, I can confidently say you’re better off looking elsewhere if:

  • You need advanced or custom reports. It’s the most common complaint.

  • You run complicated schedules. Jibble is built to handle complex rules and multiple groups, but it doesn’t do it intuitively.

  • Your crews work where signal is weak (or you need mileage). Jibble shows routes on Pro, but it doesn’t turn them into mileage or drive-time records.

  • You can’t afford lag and hiccups. I didn’t notice too many myself, but a few reviewers noted repeated sync issues and unexplained delays.

  • Your work is project-based. Yes, Jibble does offer a decent invoicing tool on the Pro plan, but overall, its client billing features feel like an afterthought.

Jibble is an attendance-first tracking app meant to be used alongside project management platforms and invoicing tools. It’s ideal for shift-based or on-site teams that need ways to verify attendance.

If your small team isn’t doing field work (e.g., you run an agency, software house, consultancy) and you want to bill clients, track expenses, and track project profitability reliably, TimeCamp will likely suit you better.

TimeCamp’s free plan covers unlimited users with automatic time tracking in the desktop app. It uses keyword rules to assign computer activity to the right project, plus GPS location tracking in the mobile app while a timer runs. Invoicing is available on the Starter plan, and billable time requires Premium. Note that TimeCamp doesn’t offer face recognition, and geofencing is Enterprise-only.

Use reviews as input, not the whole decision: trial the tool with your own crew, on your own sites. If you’re weighing both, our TimeCamp vs Jibble comparison goes deeper.

Jibble reviews FAQ

Is Jibble good?

Yes. Jibble holds a respectable 4.6/5 on G2 and a 4.8/5 on Capterra and Software Advice. Users praise its free plan and ease of use, but it might be a weak fit if you need deep reporting or complicated scheduling rules.

Is Jibble really free?

Yes. There’s a free-forever plan for unlimited users that includes features like GPS-verified clock-ins, face recognition, and overtime rules. The catch is that you can only register 2 locations, 1 work schedule, 1 admin, and 1 kiosk. Approvals and automatic clock-out require Essential, and live location tracking needs Pro.

What do users complain about most in Jibble?

Users complain most about technical issues (e.g., laggy face checks in low light and slow sync on mobile), but pricing comes up too, mostly from growing teams that need several paid features.

Is Jibble’s GPS and facial recognition accurate?

Mostly, yes. However, as you can expect, weak signal in remote locations and check-ins in low light can be frustrating.

Is Jibble good for construction or field teams?

Yes, Jibble works best for such use cases. Crews that log work hours across locations appreciate the kiosks (PIN or face check-in), geofences, and offline clock-ins that sync automatically.

What are Jibble’s limitations?

Jibble is attendance-first, so it’s a bit rough around the edges for billing and advanced management and scheduling. Its reports and notification alerts aren’t as customizable as most advanced users would like.

Does Jibble do payroll and timesheets?

Jibble turns employee hours into payroll-ready timesheets. You then have to export the payroll hours or sync them with tools like QuickBooks and Xero. It doesn’t pay anyone or run direct deposit, and hours sometimes need editing by hand.

How good is Jibble’s customer support?

Pretty good! It scores 4.6/5 on Capterra and 9.0/10 on G2. When I reached out to customer support, I received a reply within 5 minutes. Note that live chat starts on Essential, and as a Pro user, you’ll also unlock a dedicated success manager.

Billing clients, not shifts?

If your team bills clients by project rather than by shift, TimeCamp tracks time automatically, and its free plan covers unlimited users.
